Q1: What are the advantages of using LEDs?

LEDs consume less energy; the overall cost of a LED lights can be lower 50% than traditional ighting.

LEDs lifespan are 30,000–50,000 hours

It can reduce labor costs of replacing lamp fixture.

No IR or UV Emissions, no hazard to people and materials.

Q2: What is LED binning ?

LED chips are produced in different wavelength, color temperature, lumen output, current, forward voltage.

Binning is way of sorting and grouping the chips that have similar parameters.

LED binning ranges are important for LED manufacturers and their customers.

It can have serious implications on cost and lead time for manufacturers.

To ensure the performance of LED light output and color in high quality and consistency. The smaller a bin size, the less variation you can see color temperatures and lumen outputs.

Q3: What is IP Rating (Ingress Protection) ?

IP Rating is defined to the international standard of EN 60529 (British BS EN 60529:2001, European IEC 60509:1989).
These standards are used to define the levels of sealing effectiveness of electrical enclosures against intrusion from foreign bodies such as dirt, tools and water.
IP stands for Ingress Protection and is followed by two digits:
The first digit indicates the level of protection against solid particles (dust, dirt…) and ranges from one to six.
The second digit tells you how much water a device can handle without suffering damage and ranges from one to eight — the higher the number the better the protection.
For example:

Below chart is an easy to help you decide which IP rating you need or have.

IP20: Protected from touch by hands and objects greater than 12 mm. Not protected from liquids.
IP54: Protected from water spray from any direction, limited ingress protection.
IP62: Protected from water spray less than 15 degrees from vertical, totally protected against dust.

IP65: Protected from low pressure water jets from any directions, totally protected against dust.

IP66: Protected from powerful water jets from any directions, totally protected against dust.
IP67: Protected against the effects of immersion in water —
between 15cm (5.9 inches) and 1 meter (3.3 feet) for up to 30 minutes.
Totally protected against dust.

IP68: Protected from long term immersion up to a specified pressure, totally protected against dust.

Q4: Can I Order LED Strip Lights Pre-Cut to Custom Length?

Yes, you can. At Anyhope, we can pre-cut and solder LED strip lights to exactly the customized lengths you need. (MOQ 200meters on each length)
Our standard LED strip lights reels are manufactured in 5meters (16.4ft) lengths – except for Ultra Long LED strip lights (website links here), which we produce on 10m(32.8ft) / 20m(65.6ft) / 30m(98.4ft) reels as standard.
